RCNS2-114- Single Reverse Notch Pneumatic Sealer

The RCNS2-114 is a single reverse notch pneumatic sealer and used largely for high tensile steel strapping.  This tool is from Signode and is also commonly known as a pistol grip type sealer. The RCNS2-114 is also used mostly used to install street signs, in the construction of oil drilling platforms, in chemical treatment plants and water treatment facilities, for installing cables and wires and in securing boats and ships.

As with all Signode tools, the RCNS2-114 is also ergonomically designed and can be operated single handedly. This tools is durable as it is made of metal alloys which helps in operation even during harsh strapping situations. The pistol grip design is the unique feature of this tool and makes it easier to operate. This RCNS2 tool also comes available for 3/4″ strapping as the RCNS2-34 sealer tool.

The RCNS2-114 helps in reducing the labor involved in strapping steel and other products. The tool saves the operator a lot of time by making quick applications.

However, as with all other pneumatic tools, there are some disadvantages to this tool. Since this tool can apply only a metal seal at the joint, a separate tensioner has to be used to band or pull the strap tight.

There are two feed wheel tensioners, namely A452 by Fromm and the Signode PN2-114. These two are high quality tensioners that can complete the tensioning process quickly and easily. Both are similar tools in terms of functioning and will finally come down to personal choice while choosing the right tool.
